Reading over my very last post here and it's been quite awhile hasn't it??
That's what that darned old psp did to me!!lol All my spare computer time goes to creating cute little works of art....well I think they're cute anyway
Well, today didn't start so bad anyway!
Sun was shining, I got in a little PSP time, hung out two loads of laundry...a good day off.
Once Cody got home from school, we went to pick up the little kids and then dropped him off at work and went to watch Colin play rugby at the school. Their team won and no one was seriously injured which is amazing....man, they're rough!!
Colin wanted to drive home and first we made a stop at McDonald's where we ate our Big Macs out on the patio and enjoyed the nice spring weather we are finally having.
Then on the way home it happened!! Up the big hill (McCauley Mountain) and around the bend on the way to our side road to get home....only Colin decided at the last minute that he was going to take the first side road instead of the second that we usually take, and of course he waited too long and when he tried to turn onto the gravel, he was still going too fast and slid right across the end of the side road and into the ditch on the other side!
The car went in nose first and we heard a bit of a scraping sound as we slid in, but we were all fine and by all accounts the car seemed fine also...just stuck, lol!! I put a call in to Mike, who of course didn't answer his phone...I swear I get that darned answering machine everytime I try to get ahold of him for something! Anyway, I put out a call to some other friends and no answer there either, but he called back and came out to see if he could pull us out with the truck. He couldn't, so we sent the little kids with him and Colin and I waited for the tow truck to come. Only cost me $40 and though the car seems to have a little leak of oil (we are keeping an eye on it for now), so I really think we came out lucky....could have been soooo much worse for sure!!!
I just hope that he has learnt his lesson about driving too fast on the gravel roads where you have no traction at times.
Anyway, once home I planted my pansies that I picked up yesterday on the way home from work, went out to say hello to the two new little foals, and then in to watch Dancing with the Stars....gonna be so hard to choose once it gets down to the last few teams!
