...and it was a fatality!
Yesterday morning I came upon the scene of an accident early in the a.m. on my way to work. What I thought to be a car (found out later it was a truck...that's how smashed up it was!) was upside down in the ditch, and they were re-routing traffic...the whole road was closed. So I had to turn around and find a different way to work, which out in the country usually means alot of extra miles
Anyway, I had called the local radio station and reported it because of the detour, and less than a minute after I heard them report it on the radio, I got a call on my cell-phone...it was Mike and he wanted to know if I was okay! I hadn't thought to call him, but of course he would be worried when he heard because I travel this route every single day on my way to work and back

Which got me to thinking that in the last 5 or 6 years there have been 5 fatal accidents on my route to work....8 people killed. Kinda gets ya to thinking about how things can change so quickly on just a normal day and how lucky I am to make it back home safe and sound
Update...turns out this man was a well known local chef.
Cody had been to his house many times because he is friends
with his daughter and Cody's friend goes out with her
