Happy Birthday Colton

10 years old today....my third son and still his little sister who will turn 7 soon is as big as he is!

Last nite we went out to celebrate because his big brothers were both busy for tonite.

We went to Kelsey's mainly because I had won a $50 gift certificate on the local radio station and also because it was Monday, kids eat free...bonus!!lol

We had a great time, had a french waiter who was in training I think, or just very new ;) He was a darling though and we left him quite a generous tip for all his trouble. Got free appetizers from the manager for the wait and for the noise of the party of over a dozen seated on the same level as us. We told him we didn't mind sitting there, with 4 kids we were used to the noise, LOL!

Then off to the mall to purchase the gift of choice.....the gift he's been asking for for over a year now, lol....heelies! Only place we could find them was SportCheck and boy were they expensive! Over $130 with taxes!!! Needless to say we told him that was the only gift he would be getting this year but he's okay with that because Gramma and his aunt come this weekend and he'll get more then, lol! He took them with him to school today, I just hope he doesn't get in trouble with them or especially doesn't lose the wheels which you have to put on and take off!

Don't have a birthday pic yet from this year but here's one of him on his 8th birthday with our pooch Drifter...he still pretty much looks the same, happy go lucky ;)

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all mom's all over the world.

I truly hope that someone in your life recognizes you today for all that you are, and all that you do for so many people. But.....even if they don't just try to remember that in these times of war, greenhouse effect, poorer getting poorer and the rich getting richer....that it's us who can change the world....us who WILL change the world. By raising children that are more aware of what is wrong in this world and what they can do to help change that. Our children are our precious resource, our fulfillment at the end of a long day spent running this way and that for everyone but ourselves.

Please remember your Mother today, even if it's something small and simple like a phone call telling her you luv her....that's all she needs to hear :) It makes all the difference in the world!
