Christmas is Over

I didn't have any gifts under the tree to unwrap Mike had stuck the cd's I asked for into my stocking, along with the card that had the money inside so that was it for me. I did get a lovely surprise at work though. When I went in for my first of the four in a row working at Christmas, there were 3 gifts and cards all lined up on our folding table in the laundry room. I got a cute little windchime with farm animals on it, a lovely glass blown ball with cute little snowmen on it and some yummy chocolates from 3 of the girls I work with...it was such a great surprise!!

Me new favourite memory had to do with work. The residents opened their gifts in the morning after breakfast and I had gone out to help. Alot of them had no families there helping them celebrate at all during the holidays, but they got so much joy out of opening the simplest little gifts with just us there to help them out. They couldn't get the tape open on the gifts and some had problems telling just what was inside without help....it was just a great feeling helping them out in such a simple way
