Imagine this...
...you have saved and saved for a trip, bought your round trip airplane tickets, got to your destination and then you hear in the news that the airline company has gone bankrupt and your tickets are no good anymore!!!
The company suggests that you make alternate arrangements to get yourself back home again!!!
The company suggests that you make alternate arrangements to get yourself back home again!!!That's what happened here in Canada to thousands of people..some who have bought their tickets already and not left yet, some who are stranded who knows where and now have to fork out money for a ride home again.
Our government wants nothing to do with helping these people out...but you can bet your $ if it was another airline in another country that stranded our people, they would be screaming for compensation...something to help out their citizens!!
I really feel bad for all of those people who got ripped off and even worse for the people that were left standing in line to come home only to be told their ticket was no good!!
