Mike's Birthday

 I'm home alone today yippee!!

I don't plan on doing a whole lot today,
except play on the puter and with my PSP.
It's Mike's birthday today so we are taking him
out for dinner tonite. I have a $50 gift certificate
to go to Kelsey's, that I won on the radio, so we
are going there. I luv Kelsey's!

We have to go into the city anyway,
because Cody's glasses are ready, so we'll
be picking them up too.
And Colin wants to buy 'The Corpse Bride',
as it's $30 to buy in the local stores here.
Tim Burton is his favourite director,
he likes the wierd and wacky, LOL!

Just sharing a pic of our wacky weather here.
The first is a pic of the snow squall we had just
a while ago when the kids were out waiting for
the bus, and not 5 minutes later the sun was shining
and still is, lol!! We get a lot of that down here,
so close to the lake.

And here's a pic of what we looked like on
Feb 4 and have looked like almost all of this year.
No snow at all, as most of it fell as rain.
We only had 7.5 cm of snowfall in Jan,
compared to the average 44 cm!! Wow!!

I'm off to watch Regis and Kelly and have
some breakfast

We're Back

Well, we are back and I am $340 poorer than when I left

Cody got 'Roots' frames and is trying out some contacts too. We have to go back next week to pick up the glasses.

He did pretty good getting those contacts in, I've never worn them myself. We got him a trial pair to see if he liked wearing them and could get used to them. Especially with him playing alot of sports, we thought it would be good if they worked out for him.

Seeing as how we were on the 'Golden Mile' as they call it (a gazillion fast food restaurants on a one long road, lol) we thought we'd stop and have some all you can eat pizza lunch at Pizza Hut.

Cody Gets His Glasses

Well, for starters I had to get up early on

my day off, lol!!

This morning we are off to the city to get
Cody his first pair of glasses.
When he went for his driver's license,
they tested his eyes and I'm amazed he passed!
He's had problem's reading the hockey scores on
the t.v. so we knew it was time.

This, I guess is a trait he inherited from me,
as I wear them also and got mine
when I was in high school, when I couldn't
read the chalkboard anymore.

On our way though we are picking up Colin's
friend and they are both going to stay a few
nites with another friend who moved away last
summer. Cody's girlfriend was coming along
but this hour is a little too early for her, lol.
