Long Weekend

 It's a long weekend here in Ontario, Canada!

Well, it would be if I wasn't working!!lol

I'm sure the campers are loving it here at the Sandbanks Provincial Park though, lots of sunshine, mid 20's and not alot of humidity. In fact the last few nights we have even thrown the comforter on the bed, it's been so cool!

I was scheduled to work a 7 day stretch, but managed to get Mon. & Tues. off so we can leave right after I get home from work tomorrow to go up north to stay with mom and Glor. If I had my druthers, I would have just stayed home...but the kids REALLY wanted to go, even though they are griping about only staying two nites when we have annually been staying 5 nites since they were born. We may miss most of the reunion but I'm not really keen on getting there too early so everyone sees the bomb I'm driving!

The van is on it's last legs, but our new station wagon (well, new to us anyway, lol) won't be ready till Tuesday. It's silver (my least favourite color) and very long, it's a big one. I had to get a trip permit for the van because it was supposed to go for an E-test on my birthday, but we weren't about to pay for that when the new car was coming.

We have been so busy hustling the kids back and forth to soccer games, and the beach...that I hardly get a moment to breath, but the tournament is next weekend, so that will be over soon. I plan on taking the kids camping that week on my days off. I can't wait and I haven't told them that yet, lol, cuz I'll never hear the end of it from Hannah. She is already counting the days to go north...she is always on a countdown of some kind, lol.

Drive In

 Well yesterday was busy, busy, busy!!

 

I worked and then picked up groceries on the way home.

 

Then after we bbq'd burgers, we were off to Cody and Colton's soccer game. We got home at about 9 and then I raced to pick up Colin who had dinner out with a friend who was celebrating a birthday, and took the three of them and my two little ones to the drive-in.

 

We saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Batman. I thought Charlie was a little strange, lol, but I love Johnny Depp so I'll watch him in anything! We got home about 1 am, and I was beat, since I had gotten up at 5 for work!

 

Anyway, I'm dropping in quick before I go watch Regis and Kelly

My Birthday

 I did get my breakfast in bed this morning. Toast and jam and coffee with cream and sugar (even though I take it black, lol!!!) The kids helped me scratch my scratch tickets and I didn't win anything there, but they had fun doing it

 

They loved giving me their little gifts they bought for me at the dollar store.

 

I had another coffee (this time black, just how I like it) on the patio swing, then did some laundry and we were off to the dentist, where we had to wait over an hour for Colton to get a cavity filled. At least in was nice and cool in there because it's sweltering here again outside

 

Have a little time this afternoon to play on the puter, then need to have an early supper as we have 3 soccer games tonite! so you know where I'll be spending my evening, lol!!!

Off to the BEach to beat the Heat!

 It's so freakin' hot here!!

 

So the kids and I packed a lunch this time and headed to the beach for the second day in a row! Wow, what a nice way to catch up on your reading! It was actually cool enough there that the kids had goosebumps, lol!!

 

Then back home to fix supper and run around and pick up Cody who had spent the day swimming in a friends pool, I just wish he would find friends closer to home, lol. Then we were off to Colton's soccer game, which they lost...but they all had fun despite melting in the heat. And he got to play goalie so he was happy!

 

Just going to jump into the shower here and then head out to the trailer to sleep with the little ones, yet again! 3 nites in a row now...boy they are sure taking full advantage of me being off work this week! That's alright though cuz they have promised me breakfast in bed for my birthday in the morning! Been so long I can't remember the last time I got breakfast for my birthday or mom's day, cuz I'm usually working!!

 

I hope everyone is keeping cool in this heat..those of you who are getting it anyway.

Hot!

 Hi everyone!

 

Dropping in quick after work here, before I have to hang my clothes on the line, go and make supper and then off to the early soccer game.

 

Two of the kids were at the beach with their friends when I got home and Cody and Hannah were vegging out in front of the tv. It's hot here again but supposed to be better the rest of the week. Still no rain though and the farmers fields are turning to dust! I can hear them out there cutting our hay fields right now...mmm..I love that sweet smell!
