Tom Cruise goes Couch Hopping

 Did anyone see him on Oprah this past week?

 

I have never been a really big fan of his, but was feeling a little good for him that he seems to be so in love with his new girlfriend Katie Holms who is quite a bit younger than he. He was jumping up and down on Oprah's couch he said he was so happy!! At times though it seemed a bit of an overkill!

 

Anyway, did you all read about what he had to say about Post natal depression?? He even slammed Brooke Shields who just came out recently on Oprah and in her new book saying she had it severly after she gave birth to her daughter in 2003.I have to say I was a bit suprised to read it and now he's gone back into my not so favourite person list, lol!!

(BANG) - Tom Cruise has slammed women for taking anti-depressants.

The 'Collateral' star, who has two adopted children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, claims mothers suffering post-natal depression should take vitamins instead.

The star's comments - in which he claimed there is no scientific proof post-natal depression actually exists - is set to cause controversy amongst his legions of female fans.

He told American TV show Access Hollywood on Thursday: "These drugs are dangerous. I have actually helped people come off them.

"There is a hormonal thing that is going on with post-natal depression, scientifically, you can prove that. But when you talk about chemical imbalances in people, there is no science behind that.

You can use vitamins to help a woman through those things."

The heartthrob star went on to condemn actress Brooke Shields for relying on anti-depressants to cure her post-natal depression, saying it ruined her acting career.

The 'Suddenly Susan' star was prescribed the drugs after becoming depressed after the birth of daughter Rowan in 2003.

Tom, who is romancing 'Dawson's Creek' beauty Katie Holmes, added: "I care about Brooke because I think she is incredibly talented. But where has her career gone?

"When you talk about postpartum, you can take people today and what you do is you use vitamins."

Sister Update

 I am happy to report that my sister has gone back home with my little niece still in her belly!! She still has a headache and has problems with high blood pressure throughout her pregnancy, so we were afraid the dr. may have said something about a stroke, but he said the catscan was fine....phewww!!

 

We haven't had any rain here this week I think. Certainly if there was it was only sprinkles. It threatened of rain some days, but passed us by mostly.

 

Tomorrow after work I am off to Oshawa for my neices birthday so I won't be home till very late at nite, (again!)lol. It's a two hour drive from there to here. The girls are going to the gym, and then back home for pizza and cake. Hannah is really looking forward to it! I picked up Kendra some Disney Princess things on the way home from work today....if she's anything like Hannah she will love them! In fact Hannah wanted to know why I hadn't gotten her those things for her birthday that's coming up and little does she know, I did!!

Our School Trip to Wonderland

 Just a quick note before I am off to work

this morning.

 

We had a great day at the amusement park

yesterday. The band played first thing in the morning

at 10, and we didn't get there till 9:45.

By the time they ushered us through the gates,

checked all of our bags and instrument cases,

and even did a metal detector search on us,

the kids sure didn't have much time to practice before

playing before the adjudicator.

 

They did really well and then surprise, surprise he

actually quizzed them and told them how they

could improve certain things in the music they played.

They all thought he was pretty mean, but I

thought it was nice of him to use his experience

to teach them a few things.

 

Our group grew from 5 of us to 8 as everyone

wanted to come along with us, but I said, yes the

more the merrier. These are Grade 8 kids and they

are pretty responsible, and we all had a great time.

It was an all school day, so there weren't very

many adults around, lol,

 made me feel very old standing

in line with all those younguns!!

 

I just opened my e-mail this morning and found

out that my sister, Tricia (gibby here) was taken

to hospital yesterday. She is pregnant and had complications. She had a headache and they

think there may be pressure behind her eyes or

something like that and they kept her overnite

and sent her to Orillia. They will have to take the baby

now if the dr. doesn't like the Catscan. She is due

the end of June. I just wish we weren't so far away.

 

I have to stop after work today and get a

present for my niece's

b'day party tomorrow  so probably

won't be back till much later.

A Day off

 

This is my only day off this week,

and so far it's been pretty busy!!

I figure I better get the housework done now,

because I won't feel like it the rest of the week.

Thursday I don't work, but I am going to Wonderland

with Colin's band group.

Can't wait to go on some of those rides!!

 

And tonite we have two soccer practices to attend

and they are both at the same time

a half hour away from each other!!

Could prove interesting, lol!!

A busy Birthday Weekend!

 It was a busy one here.

After mom left yesterday, Mike's mom

showed up with a gift for Colton,

more water guns, lol, they all had a blast

with them on Saturday for sure, so they

will be put to good use around here!

 

Then after supper, and after getting Colton's

new Air Hog (flying airplane) out of the huge

maple tree in the yard, yet again!! lol, I discovered

that the season finale of Survivor was on, so

no puter time for me!

He got $50 cash also, and has already gone together

with his brothers to purchase a Playstation 2 that

a friend has for sale. His part was $30 so he still

has $20 left to spend at the mall,when I get him there, lol.

This morning I've finally come on-line to discover

that I can't save any graphics off of the web without

AOL trying to save them as .bmp!!!

This is very frustrating when trying to save animated

graphics and siggies as they save unanimated,

so this tag-a-holic is having a bad morning so far!

 

I did get some laundry done and some muffins made

though, so the whole morning hasn't been a wash at

least, with me e-mailing AOL and also sending out HELP

posts to all my help groups I belong too, lol!!

I won a Scholarship!

 

I'm almost too excited to type!!

 

I was just packing up my bag to go out the door to

work, and I got a phone call! It was our union rep telling

me that I had just won a scholarship!

 

It's a full week course in Mississauga at their computer

training center there. The scholarship covers all my costs,

accomodation, course fee, materials and any time I might lose at work!

 

I'm a little nervous, now that I've had a chance

to think about it!! Ack....I will be staying there with

people I don't know, in a strange city, going to class

every day!!! for a whole week!

 

Whatever will I do with my kids who need to be driven,

here, there and everywhere?? A whole freakin' week

away from home, all by myself!!

 

I just had to share this with
