Rep Soccer?

 It's raining here and started pretty much just as

I was taking Colin-14 to try out for rep soccer.

He got a call a couple of days ago and I just figured it was

his coach for the house league but turns out he

was good enough for the rep coach to want him.

After practicing for an hour and a half in the rain, I think

Colin has come to the conclusion that rep soccer is

not for him. The coach scared him with alot of stories about

broken bones, lost teeth, etc.....!!

Apparently rep soccer is much more physical than house league, lol.

 

I also dropped Hannah off at her birthday party and

we were barely in the door before the other little girls

had her whisked away without even a goodbye for mom!

I have to be there at 2 to pick her up.

 

It's very quiet here right now with Hannah gone,

Cody gone to a friends house for the weekend,

Mike is gone to a horse auction in Kingston,

Colin is watching tv, and Colton is upstairs playing

a video game we rented this morning 'Robots' from

the movie with the same name.

Our New Living Room

 Thank goodness my leg is all back to normal and that's one less

thing I have to worry about 

I have managed to switch days around at work and now don't need
to go back till this coming Friday.....
so hopefully by then I will have some sort of routine worked out,
especially for those days I work 

Mike has his bed set up in the living room and we've put the tv up to the top
of the wall unit so he can see it. He can still only sit up for so long though
and then the nerve pinching his right shoulder and arm just get
to be too much.
I took this pic just a few minutes ago....Colton has taken to sleeping
beside his dad and has become an almost permanent resident
of the couch there, lol....except when he's out helping me do chores 

A Day of Shopping...does it get any better than this?!

 The weather here has certainly been a mixed bag lately!

 

It was supposed to be lovely today but I've yet to see

the sun. Oh well...I'm going shopping anyway, lol!!

Bought lots of little things for the garden, a metal dipper that will hang from fence here and hold a plant, some frozen food, fruit and fries, a few of the shepherd's hooks for sticking in the garden to hang things on (they were 5 foot tall and only 2.99 each!) I bought a teddy angel that was on for half-price and some old looking hooks that I will put up here for us to hang our coats on. In all I only spent $60 there which I thought was really good!!

 

That was my first stop and then it was on to the mall where I bought a spiderman water blaster for Colton's upcoming birthday, some sidewalk chalk that was on dirt cheap for party favours, and a quilted pillow sham for the bed in the spare room here at Winners.

 

Then I stopped at Zellers and got a hip hugger laundry basket for my girlfriend who babysits for me, because last I was there she was duct taping hers together, lol. Yes...she's a bit of a redneck too, lol, they live on a beef farm. I picked up a pretty outfit for Hannah's upcoming birthday and a few garden frogs for my mom for Mother's Day because she loves frogs. And then my biggest purchase which was unplanned but I have wanted one for the longest time, a two seater swing with a canopy that was on sale for half price at Zellers.

 

Woohoo!!! I can't believe that I'm almost shopped out, lol!! I had such a wonderful day. And now I get to go and haul it all out of the van...I thought I better nab the computer while the kids were still gone but they're here now, and lining up to get onlol

My Aunt Gets Married

 Well I'm working all weekend and Monday too.

 

Today on the way home I stopped at Walmart and picked up a few little things for my newest nephew who I will finally get to meet tomorrow. And also a wedding card for my aunt who got married to a cowboy out west. They are back here to pack up her things because she has sold her place and will be moving out west permanently. We will miss her but I am so happy for her. She lost her husband to cancer about 3 years ago now, and it's so wonderful that she has found love again!

 

We are having a get together tomorrow at my sisters place to finally meet this guy and all of my sisters will be there. Hannah is looking forward to seeing her cousins, she made some bracelets today for the two little girls, lol, and has been counting down the sleeps

 

Need to take Cody back to the school again tonite to usher. He ended up sleeping at his friends house last nite but came home a short while ago to get a change of clothes.

The cows are out!

 Had a busy day.

Worked late and stopped at the grocery store

on the way home.

Coming down our road and what should I see

in the ditch just up from our driveway but one of

our cows, lol.

Cody was home already, so we wrangled him up and

into the pasture with the rest of the gang.

 

Watched a movie while we ate supper, and then

just finished dishes and wanted to pop in and

check the boards before Survivor comes on.

This is my nite for t.v.

Survivor, CSI, and then ER...

well that is if they aren't reruns, lol.

It's a Beautiful Morning!

 It's another beautiful day here.

Lots of sunshine and supposed to go up to 10.

This is my one day to myself for this week,

and I haven't really decided what I'll be doing, lol.

My son informed me that I need to make a trip

into town to pick up ingredients for fudge

so he can make it to take for a 'Cafe'

they are doing at school tomorrow.

Everyone has written some poetry and stuff

and they will be reading it at their 'Coffee House', lol

Sounds like fun!

Sunday....A Day of Rest

 And that's just what I plan on doing, lol!

 

It has done nothing but rain all weekend here

Last nite after watching a movie, the kids and I

decided to go to town and get McDonald's for supper.

Not sure why, as the weather was just so rotten,

but it was better than coming up with something to cook, lol.

So we get stuck in the yard because of all the rain

and hubby had to pull us out, lol!!

 

We've been watching movies all weekend,

and cuddling under the blankets to beat the chill.

I'm putting on a roast today

and not doing much else of anything!
